Ecophysiology of Corn - For reaching high yields Vol 2.
Synopsis:
The FieldCrops Team is a multidisciplinary and multi-institutional team that seeks the sustainable intensification of production systems for soybeans, rice, maize, wheat, cassava and cover crops. We develop research, teaching and extension work within the producer's field, meeting local demands, but with an impact and focus on global sustainability, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN 2030 agenda. The Team also collaborates to carry out global projects, such as the Global Yield Gap Atlas (www.yieldgap.org), which aims to determine how much food is possible to produce in the current agricultural area with minimum environmental impact, covering 13 food cultures in 75 countries. The knowledge generation and technology transfer actions led by the FieldCrops Team are based on the interaction Genéca x Environment x Management x Producer at the production system level, all of this, supported by transparency and impartiality as fundamental pillars of our actions. The Field Team FieldCrops team disseminates in ops disseminates applied technical technical information applied to the producer through official social networks (Instagram, Twier, Youtube, outube, Facebook and Linkedin), where our followers (100% organic) receive new, unpublished information , exclusive and updated information directly from crops in Brazil, and outside Brazil, 365 days a year, guaranteeing INFORMATION BASED ON CROP DATA as a fundamental pillar for producers to make decisions on their crops.
Ecophysiology of Soybean - For reaching high yields Vol. 2
Synopsis:
The book Ecophysiology of Soybean for High Yields is based on a set of concepts and updated information that guide the soybean grower in making the necessary adaptations to the environment or production system in which they are used. The current agricultural activity is very dynamic, but we hope that the reader will find in this book the stimulus to observe, analyze and understand the nuances of each situation and base his decisions on bases more compatible and adapted to his production reality. The book aims to contribute to a more rational and sustainable use of the crop, increasing the production and yield of soybeans, which will have a positive impact on the Brazilian economy and society.
Ecophysiology of Rice - For reaching high yields
Synopsis:
In order to achieve high yields and profitability in rice cultivation, knowledge of the ecophysiology of the varieties currently grown, of the cultivation system and of the particularities of each growing area is the turning point between a successful and an unsatisfactory harvest. In this sense, through the collaboration and association of universities and public research and extension institutions in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Colombia, we have tried to clearly summarize the concepts and practices of ecophysiology and rice cultivation in relation to digital agriculture (4.0) and the infinite possibilities it opens
Ecophysiology of Cassava - For reaching high yields
Synopsis:
The objective of this book is to describe the main morphological and physiological phenological events associated with cassava plant development that are relevant to management decisions. It also aims to characterize the climatic requirements of the crop and the factors to be considered in determining planting dates and other management practices.
We anticipate that the information contained therein will be useful to students of agricultural sciences, teachers, researchers, extension agents, and growers in updating existing knowledge about this important crop. It will certainly help to fill the current knowledge gap.
Cassava for Human and Animal Food
Synopsis:
Cassava is closely associated with the emergence of Brazil, as it is historically associated with small rural producers who are still responsible for the majority of its production, which is geared toward family livelihoods. Brazil is one of the largest producers of cassava in the world, and this crop has great economic importance as it is the main source of energy and livelihood for a large part of the population, and is also an important base for animal feed. In addition to its socioeconomic importance, cassava has been selected by the United Nations as one of the crops that will ensure food security and sovereignty for future generations of the world's population, especially in developing countries.
Due to the importance of this crop “Cassava for Human and Animal Food” It brings important advances, which allow expanding the use of the cassava plant and its derivatives, as well as current research carried out by the Simanihot Team with a language aimed at rural extension workers, producers, agro-industries , academic community and Brazilian society.
Ecophysiology of Soybean - For reaching high yields Vol. 1
Synopsis:
The book Ecophysiology of Soybean for High Productivity is based on a set of concepts and updated information, capable of providing the soybean farmer with guidance to make necessary adjustments and adaptations to the environment or production system in which they are applied. Current agricultural activity is very dynamic, but it is hoped that the reader will find in this book the stimulus to observe, analyze and understand the nuances of each particular situation, and support their decisions on bases that are more compatible and adapted to their production reality. The book has an appeal that seeks to contribute
Ecophysiology of Corn - For reaching high yields Vol. 1
Synopsis:
The content of this book is the result of the combined efforts of research institutions, rural producers, private companies and public extension in Brazil. The topics covered and the details of the information aim to facilitate the understanding of the processes that occur in corn crops and, from this, sensitize farmers and Ag professionals to apply knowledge in order to reduce the productivity gap that exists in corn cultivation in the Brazil, taking into account the production systems of each region. Increasing the efficiency of resources and the producer's profit is a challenge to be faced daily and, to do this, we need to enter the field and "talk" to the plants, that is, understand the Ecophysiology of Corn, to the point of having a perception of what the crop is revealing to us and what management practices must be carried out to maximize corn yield.
